President's Message
With 2008 drawing to a close I would like to thank everyone who has supported and attending BMANY events during the year. We had one of our best year ever for the ACE Awards receiving entries from as far away as Sidney, Australia. And there is already a flow of inquires about the 2009 ACE Awards from around the country and Europe. The 2009 ACE Awards will be adding some new categories which we anticipate will generate a great deal of interest. The start date for submissions will be mid-February. Please look out for details on our website: www.bmanyc.org.
Our first breakfast event will take place February 4th at the Le Parker Meridien Estrada Penthouse offering a beautiful outlook onto Central Park. This will be our Annual B-B Outlook Breakfast featuring three prominent leaders from corporate marketing, advertising agency and media. The speakers will be announced in the next couple of weeks. Online registration will be up next week.
On Tuesday, February 24 The FORBES Integrated Marketing Success Panel Discussion will be held at FORBES Headquarters 12th Street and 5th Avenue. The facility is unique and has recently been remodeled. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged. Online registration will be up within two weeks. We expect to AETNA Corporation, Doremus and IBM participating.
In March we begin our Distinguished Lecturer Series Breakfasts with the B-B Marketing of the Year Jeff Hayzlett CMO of KODAK Worldwide. The event will be March 19 8 AM the YALE Club. Jeff is a dynamic speaker and will have some interesting insight into the B-B world of marketing.
The April Distinguished Lecturer Series Breakfast will feature Tom Haas CMO Siemens Corporation on Tuesday April 14 at the YALE Club. Tom oversees the marketing campaigns of one of the largest and diverse technical companies in the world. Registration will be available online in January.
We are planning some special cocktail hour events during the first five months of next year and ask you to watch our website for subjects and dates.
In mid-June we will be having our 27th Annual ACE Awards event.
We expect to have our Annual Communicator of the Year event during the last week in September.
And there are more events being developed included the Young Professional Program for 30 and under for which we hope to post information over the next 4 weeks.
